JOB shot Livigno!

Hey folks,
I spent the last couple of days in Livigno together with Rafa Cusini, Lukas,Schäfer, Markus Eder, Niclas Löffler and Alo Belluscio.
The parkcrew build a special jump for us on the Carosello 3000 where we had our last shooting with JOB for this season!

the jump

After a few little corrections the jump was amazing and we had a great session on it yesterday!
Lukas Schäfer about to drop in

Unfortunately Lukas Schäfer dislocated his shoulder in the middle of the session, but luckily Rafa Cusini is a medical genius and just popped it right back in....lol...crazy it aliens!

In the evening we all had dinner together, drinkin some beer and just hanging out!

This morning we had a sunrise session, so we had to wake up at 3:30am in the morning, which was quite taff after going to bed at midnight the day before. Anyway we made it up to the jump in time, the weather gods where with us and Rafa and me had a great session again, got some kick ass pictures and also some great video coverage with our own human cable camera ;)

Thx to the whole Livigno Park crew up at Carosello, Alo for organizing and getting some amazing shots, Rafa for housing and Markus and Niclas for filming!

9Knights Final day!

Hey Folks,
soooo it´s been a crazy week, in Livigno at the 9Knights!

The comp day was really crazy, everybody was well tired from the last couple of days shredding and playing soccer. Even tho the weather was not perfect almost everybody was hitting the jump on saturday!
It was so much fun shredding with all my friends again and just having a really sick session!

Everybody had 6runs, 2best different tricks count!
Somehow I made it to finals which I was very happy with, even tho I´m not really considering myself a big air rider haha!

In the end it was Kai Mahler who won the whole comp, with a huge tweaked dub 10 mute and a dub 12 dub japan shifty!
In second place was Gus Kenworthy with a sick sw dub 10japan and a dub 14 blunt!
In 3rd it was Jonas Hunziker with a dub 10 and a dub 12, 4th Russ Hnshaw with a sw dub 10 safety and a dub 10japan!

I was really happy I landed my trick doing a sw dub9 and a forward bio 14blunt, which I have never done before!

check out the whole video of the comp right here:

In the evening the prize giving ceremony went down:
Tom Wallisch won the Rider of the week category, Laurent Favre the most stylish rider of the week, Gus Kenworthy the most impressive rail rider of the week and I won the MVP of the week, for slaying all week long and riding the most haha, what else can u do when u have such a sick set up to ride ;)
Me beeing stoked on MVP of the week
Louis Garnier won 2categories for the best action and most creative angle, props to him!
Left pic is me btw, soooo STOKED ;)

9Knights day #3 & #4

Hello Everybody,
just had the 3rd and 4th day rappin up here at the 9Knights, had a weather day on wednesday and the big legendary soccer tournament taking place instead of skiing.
I think I haven´t played soccer in about 11years so it was about time to get some non existing skills out!

I was in team Old Men´s together with Schinka, Klaus Polzer, Alessandro Belluscio, Rafa Cusini, Franz Perini and Nico Zacek. Somehow we made it into finals where we had to go against the Schneestern crew. Unfortunately their keeper Sean the man Balmer was too good and there was no way in getting passed him! We were really happy taking 2nd place and everybody just had great time.
Yesterday we had a huge day! Woke up at 6am in the morning, taking the lift at 6:30am to be ready for a sunrise shoot. Quick breakfast at 9:30am, then the heli session went of. Afterwards we had lunch chilling for a bit before the sunset session started off, followed by a night session at an incredible good looking castle!
10pm in the night we finally got home and were ready for bed.....longest day skiing in my whole life I guess, but it was soooo worth it ;)

9 Knights day 1 & 2!

Hey Folks,
after arriving on sunday in beautiful italy, for the 2012 edition of the 9knights, we had our first 2days shredding the castle monday and yesterday!

The castle is huge and besides the big jump in the middle, the 2quaters and the 2hips there is several transfer possibilities and a couple of rail features!

Lolo checking in on one of the transfers possibilities: quarter to hip landing!
On Monday there was quite some headwind so it was really hard to find the right speed for the jump but everybody had fun shredding the quarters, rails and transfers.
myself on the down rail: sw 2 pretz 4
On tuesday the weather was really good, got a slight tail wind, blue bird and warm temperatures. Everybody started hitting the jump and all the features.
 Kai on a sw 5
Oystein doing a cork 7 blunt
Today we got a bad weather day, with quite some heavy snowfalls outside, but tmrw it is sopossed to be good again, keep fingers crossed ;)

Instead of skiing the big and legendary 9knights soccer tournament will go down this afternoon!
Its going to be a loooot of fun ;)

Cheers Roy

SPRINGgingerle 2012 Final RECAP!

Hey guys,
so as I promised here is the final recap of the 2012 and 3rd annual edition of the SPRINGgingerle hosted by Matthias FABBRO and Markus EDER.

Everybody arrived last week tuesday for a meet and greed and also a big riders dinner in the evening.
The whole swiss team was there, including Kai Mahler, Jonas and Cyrill Hunziker, Rico Schuler and Fredi Iliano as well as their coach Misra. From the Germa side it was Sebi Geiger and myself as well as the up and comer Dennis Ranalter from Stubaital in Austria. The it aliens had a big crew going with Rafa Cusini, Lukas Schäfer, Markus the host Eder, Fabbro, Stefan and Christoph Schenk and loads of locals who where shredding with us!
Wednesday was the first day of shredding the F-Tech park at Kronplatz.
They had 2 super smooth jumps and a really cool rail set up. Everybody just kinda got used to the park and got some fun practice laps in.

here is the video from the 1st session!

The second day was an early bird day, the weather was sick all week long and everybody had a blast at the sunrise session on thursday morning.
Everybody getting a lift up to the jump in the morning. Wake up call was 4o´clock in the morning, then drive 30min around the mountain to the other side of the ski resort, get picked up by a snow cat, watching a beautiful sunrise over the Dolomites and then session a bad ass jump, it can´t really get any better ;)
 ready for drop in
 enjoying some air time
everybody who ever did a sunrise session know how exhausting things can get, so it is really important to refill ur energy. Traditionaly and legendary Weisswurst breakfast for the whole crew!

After that everybody was taking it more easy during the day, just taking some cursing laps around the park or chilling back in the hotel, cause we needed the regain some energy for the big Bruneck ice hockey match in the evening.

Sunrise session in moving pictures!
The whole crew going nuts for the Bruneck local team, helping them to gain a victorious 6:2 win over their enemies!!!

During the day Fabio Studer and Paddy Graham joined the crew and the where also giving it all to cheer up the player of team Bruneck!

Friday was an easy the overall until the night session started on the huge F-Tech jump down the valley at the Korrer gondola!

 riders meeting
10riders got divided to 5team, 2persons in each team, they then had to battle against the other teams in a 2runs best counts format. 2 teams moved into semi finals and then the top team had to battle each other, means the rider u where riding with the whole night now had to be defeded.

Everybody had a blast riding and  especially Fabio and Paddy loved the format:
Stefan Schenk and myself had to go against Lukas Schäfer and Dennis Ranalter in the semifinals.
Unfortunately we lost against them, but those two guys where on fire the whole night, so it is no shame in loosing when u have fun riding ;) which is the main goal of the whole SPRINGGINGERLE.

 me mid sw dub 9
the comp area! Great place for a music festival in my opinion ;)

Here is the video of the night session, and also Fabbro´s massive first hit speed check ;)

On saturday everybody went up to the mountain and hit the park for a couple of laps and everybody just enjoyed the great spring conditions and the beautiful weather at Kronplatz.

In the evening the the riders party took place and also a little secret prize ceremony nobody knew about before. Fabbro won the best crash award, just look at the video of day 3 and u know why! I won the most dedicated rider award, which I was super stoked about, cause I had so much fun shredding the park the whole week and it could not have been any better. Lukas Schäfer won the overall rider of the week award and it was a well deserved one in my opinion, he was ripping hard all week long and it´s really cool to see so many good kids as Lukas for example ripping it off!

here is the slideshow from the whole week. Thanks to Alo, Hari and Yarrek for the great shoots.
Also a big shout out for the whole F-Tech crew for building such a bad ass park, and also KRONPLATZ, RED BULL, THE NORTH FACE and to all the other sponsors of the event for helping out Markus and
Fabbro to host one of the best events in europe.

It is a pleasure to be there for 3 years now, and it just got better and better every year! SO keep up the great work guys and thx a lot for having me there!

Now I´m off to the 9Knights in Livigno, which is going to be great! Never been to Livigno yet, so it is about time!

Pce and out
